Oy! everywhere I look I'm seeing people make "resolutions". I decided NOT to make resolutions because you always ... I always ... tend to break them. They also for me seem like a way to procrastinate things that would be helpful or needful for you to do as the year ends, by saying you'll make that you're New Year's Resolution. That's my theory anyway.
But Ask Baby Kid is asking something different. What are your blogging goals for 2009? Since Give Away Day on Sew Mama Sew, I've noticed an entire world of blogging I did not realize before. The community. Something else, is the giveaways ;) What a NEAT way to bring people to your blog and see what content you have to offer!
So what are my blogging goals?
First I want to be consistent with my posting. I know that seems like a "duh", but that's a weakness of mine overall.
Second I want to get to know my bloggy friends better.
Blogging is such a good way to peep into peoples lives in a way that you might not otherwise have an opportunity to do. Like my praise for today, I would have had to have waited until Sunday to learn that news. But what if it was tomorrow, instead of last week, that I come down with strep throat? I would have missed Sunday school, which is basically when my friend reports on things like that, and is really the only time I get to see said friend besides in passing on the way to our own ministries, not much time for fellowship. So I was happy to find her blog :o)
Third I would like to start doing product reviews on my blog. That seems like such a neat activity!
Fourth, I really want to see the devotions blog to be a blessing to others, and for the "BIAY" challenge to be a hit. I realize it can be a blessing to others and I might never know it, so, with that being said- I want to know it is a blessing to others through steady commenting and conversation ;o)
Fifth, I want to see the Designs blog pick up in popularity through the backgrounds I will be offering. It would not hurt to make some money while I'm at it ;o)
If I see a substantial increase in followers, visitors, and comments on all blogs, all the better! :o)
Sounds like some great plans for the new year. I want to sit down and think about what I want to accomplish on my website, too. Happy New Year!
