BIAY- January 10th

Check in when you are done reading in the comments area. Be sure to click "subscribe by email" to continue reading the discussion, and be aware of when someone else comments (or "posts") to the "thread". You will have to click that for each post you comment in. To receive a daily summary of new posts to the blog, subscribe in the right sidebar through my feedburner subscription service.

If you are using gmail, the "alerts" will not come as separate emails, which- would be a good reason to use your gmail account for this. If you're not using gmail, you can click through to the blog to read the conversations in the order it happened :o)

Happy Reading! (and I'll be back!)

This is the first time I've noticed that Jesus equated the 70 people's proclaiming a message of the coming messiah (I assume) as work that is worthy of wages. That's a definite mandate for missionaries raising support. Why did I never note this before?

I wonder if someday God will say "Woe to you, USA, for if the blessings that were given you had been given to (x, y, or z), they would have repented.

    Genesis 17
I like how God emphasized that it is "Sarah, YOUR WIFE who will bear you a son". It's a mental reminder 1) of Abram's lie earlier, and 2) that Hagar wasn't God's plan.

I had, for some reason, though Abram got his name changes after sacrificing Isaac. I see that it's before Isaac was ever born.

    Psalm 10
God hears the desires of the humble. I'm learning this more and more lately. That's what I want to be. Humble.

  2. Someone ince told me "If you see someone else's sins as bigger than yours, you have a pride problem ... if you see your sins as bigger than others, then you have humility". I always liked that.

I believe one day yesm God will say that to the US and hopefully, we won't be here when he does ;)

I did not realize that "Sarah" meant "princess". You'd think that would be a well known fact among Christian parents with the "princess" era going on, ya'd think there'd be more Sarah's running around here!

v22- "went up (from)"- that phrase never struck me before, but I wonder in what kind of form God was in, on earth, speaking to Abraham? or was it just His spirit? hmmmm...
