And Jesus commends his faith.

----

It's interesting to me that God puts a fear of man in all the animals, and that God required that the lives of all men be accounted for. He doesn't make this requirement for the lives of animals, as far as I know. Here God is clearly placing importance on human life.

I wonder what a man like Nimrod, who was a mighty hunter (and a warrior?) was like as a kid. I think I feel sorry for his mother.

How long will you love worthlessness And seek falsehood? It makes sense to me, that those who (genuinely)serve much, realize, or have a much deeper appreciation of the forgiveness they receive through Christ, verses those who don't serve as much, if at all.

I also thought this was interesting-
Gensis 8:21
"And the LORD smelled a sweet savour; and the LORD said in his heart, I will not again curse the ground any more for man's sake; for the imagination of man's heart is evil from his youth; neither will I again smite any more every thing living, as I have done."

It makes me think that even then God was referring to our sinful nature thanks to the events in the garden. The words "for the imagination" is actually referring to the intellectual framework of a person. From early on in life, we are evil. Gives a whoel new take on "Born a sinner", eh?Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3231070187771202137.post-30471818092632085002009-01-05T19:22:00.000-05:002009-01-05T19:22:00.000-05:00I didn't go far enough in my notes before I posted...I didn't go far enough in my notes before I posted ;)
Right off the top of your head, do you know what the actual sin was committed by Noah's sons in this passage?
